WHY ROWING?

Why is it worth learning ROWING? (Besides being a unique experience)

Rowing is one of the best sports for kids. It builds fitness, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and focus, all while being fun and low-impact.

A great way to get out in nature

Rowing gets your kid away from screens and out on the water in a positive, active environment.

A safe, low-impact sport

Rowing is a full-body sport that builds strength and endurance while being relatively low-risk for injuries.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

My child has other commitments and can only attend on certain days. Is it possible to choose the days that work best?

Yes. The program is designed to be flexible. Your child can choose from the available weekly sessions and attend two sessions per week.

My child will be away for one of the weeks. What should we do?

That’s okay. It’s common for students to miss a week during the summer. We recommend watching the video material for that week and attending more sessions during the other weeks when possible.

Does my child need to attend all the events?

No, the events are not mandatory. However, they are a great way for students to meet each other, get more comfortable, and feel part of the group.

What kind of kids join

All kinds of kids join. Some already play sports and want a new challenge, while others are trying something active for the first time. No rowing experience is needed.

Is the program safe?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Students are taught step by step, coaches are present at every session, and we use stable beginner-friendly boats. Students must be able to swim to participate.

What happens if there is thunder or strong wind?

If the weather is unsuitable for outdoor rowing, we sharpen our skills on the rowing machines and focus on improving technique with help from our coaches. We do not cancel any sessions.

What should my child wear?

Regular athletic clothes work well. Shorts, leggings, training pants, and a fitted athletic top are all good options. Students should also bring a water bottle.

Does my child need any rowing experience?

No. This program is made for beginners. We teach everything from the start.

What happens after the program?

If your child enjoys rowing, we’ll share the next steps for continuing with the club. There will be opportunities to keep training and developing after the beginner program.

Do we need to do anything else before getting started?

Yes. Once registration and payment are complete, you’ll receive access to the app and any required forms. Please make sure all waivers and required rowing forms are completed before the program begins.
